About Software Survivor
Principal Engineer-led software consulting for business-critical systems, workflow automation, integrations, and modernization work.
Software Survivor is the consulting practice of Antonio Perez, a Principal Engineer based in Fresno, California. I help established businesses and funded teams build, modernize, and connect the software their operations depend on.
The best fit is a serious business problem: a workflow that will not scale, disconnected systems that create manual work, a legacy application that has become risky to change, or a product idea that needs senior technical judgment before more money is spent.
I have spent more than a decade building production software for startups, small businesses, and enterprise environments including Target and Pressed Juicery. That background shapes the way I work: practical architecture, clear tradeoffs, maintainable implementation, and delivery plans that respect business constraints.
How I Work
Start with the constraint. Before proposing a build, I want to understand the workflow, risk, users, existing systems, timeline, budget range, and what a useful first release would accomplish.
Prefer the smallest responsible next step. Sometimes that is a custom application. Sometimes it is an integration, an automation pilot, an architecture review, or a modernization plan that reduces risk before implementation.
Stay close to delivery. You work directly with a senior engineer, not a sales layer. The same person helping shape the architecture is involved in the technical decisions that determine whether the work survives production.
Where Software Survivor Fits
- Custom business software and SaaS products for operations, customers, internal teams, and revenue-critical workflows
- AI workflow automation for document, email, review, routing, and data-entry processes
- Systems integration across ERPs, CRMs, e-commerce platforms, internal tools, and APIs
- Software modernization and rescue when an existing system is fragile, costly, or hard to change
- Architecture and technical leadership for founders, operators, and teams that need senior engineering judgment
What Makes the Engagement Different
You should come away from the first conversation with more clarity than you had before it. If there is a fit, the next step is scoped around a practical outcome. If there is not a fit, I will say so and point you toward a better next step when possible.
Software Survivor is based in Fresno, California and works with Central California businesses and remote teams across the US.
